Take a journey to learn about 17 adventurous years of lighting design for the Seminole Hard Rock Casino and Hotel Resorts in Tampa and Hollywood Florida including the current $1.8 billion expansion at both resorts. Continue the Hard Rock journey from Florida to the Hollywood Bowl to learn how stage lighting is designed at the iconic 17,500 seat Bowl with only daylight hours to create the lighting for an outdoor stage. Take a journey from blackjack tables to Kermit the Frog and Homer Simpson
ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Tom Ruzika
 
As Principal Designer for The Ruzika Company, Tom Ruzika and his team of designers have created award-winning lighting for many varied architectural spaces and theatrical facilities for over 33 years. They have added creative flair to museums, theme parks, historic buildings, retail centers, churches, restaurants, residences, luxury hotel resorts, and casinos.  They have consulted on over 100 performing arts centers, educational theatres, and production support facilities. Tom’s lighting designs have been seen on Broadway, in national tours, at major regional theatres, and for many national and international dance and opera companies. For the Hollywood Bowl, Tom and his wife Donna have designed 15 Broadway musical productions over the past 12 years.
